Instructional Technology Integration

  1. Although technology use and technology integration are similar, they are not the same. Technology use has the students actually using the technology, for example students conducting research using an online database. Technology integration involves technology in the classroom, but is less hands-on. This may be when a teacher creates a PowerPoint or shows a video in class. These are both technological devices in the class room, but the teacher is integrating it in the classroom and the students are not using it, only viewing it.

  2. I agree with your difference in technology use and technology integration. When students use technology they are a part of it. Integration is bringing into the classroom for students to learn from.

  3. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your blog.
It is good that you see that technology "use" and "integration" are somewhat similar while still different.
In what ways have you been able to integrate technology into the work you have been doing with the students at your assigned school?
